HENRICO, VA (June 1, 2023) – The Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VCHA) has issued a request for proposal to determine a single source awardee capable of best fulfilling the laboratory services needs for VCHA and member health centers to aid in our mission for the Commonwealth of Virginia to have the healthiest population in America.
“The Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is in the process of redetermining its participating Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) for the Commonwealth of Virginia. VCHA has inquired with DMAS about its MCO procurement process and that a determination is expected to be made by the end of 2023. The status of who is a Virginia’s Medicaid and Medicare MCO may change after the current VCHA RFP response deadline of July 7, 2023. As a result, VCHA is suspending indefinitely the response deadline until after DMAS finalizes its procurement process. Once VCHA can evaluate who are the participating Virginia Medicaid and Medicare MCOs, the RFP will be updated with a new response deadline. Thank you for your participation and we look forward to receiving your responses in the near future.”
This RFP aims to provide potential Contractors with the information required to prepare a proposal for consideration by VCHA on behalf of FQHCs to determine a single source awardee capable of best fulfilling the laboratory services needs for VCHA and member health centers.
As a recipient of Federal funds under Section 330 of the Public Health Services Act, VCHA and Virginia’s FQHCs are required to adhere to all applicable federal procurement rules and regulations and other program expectations of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Cooperative Agreements and FQHCs programs.
