VCHA’s Center for Data Analytics and Quality (CDAQ) helps our member health centers improve quality of care and patient safety by using health information technology to reduce costs, benchmark clinical measures, and improve care coordination. Through CDAQ, VCHA offers specialized training and technical assistance to take advantage of economies of scale, including group buying power, shared training, and data analytics to support quality measurement and improvement.

Aetna VCB Contract to improve clinical quality measures for their patients across Virginia | Contract with ACOs like Aledade to improve clinical outcomes in Medicare patients across Virginia.
CDAQ collaborates with state HIE, Virginia Health Information (VHI), for a program called Emergency Department Care Coordination. VCHA brings the HIE data into the warehouse to coordinate patient emergency room visits back to CHCs.
CDAQ offers a wide range of trainings and technical assistance supporting VCHA’s Heath Center Controlled Network (HCCN). Topics include billing and coding, cyber security, AI, combating provider burden, health promotion & IT.
CDAQ’s Innovation & EHR Vendor Management supports and manages the solutions and vendors supporting each aspect of the HCCN. VCHA partners with eCW for T/TA and technical support. A dedicated eCW SME supports CHCs as a first line of support and technical assistance.
CDAQ’s data warehouse provides health centers with a population health tool that enables dashboard development and data utilization for improved clinical and quality outcomes.

CDAQ’s Data Replication Server is the facilitator between CHCs and the Data Warehouse.
Feedback from assessments and surveys are used to improve CHC’s technical excellence and patient experience by measuring the impact of VCHA’s training activities.
