Caitlin Longan serves as Grants & Development Specialist for the Virginia Community Healthcare Foundation, where she supports fundraising and grant development efforts that strengthen access to quality healthcare across Virginia.
With more than a decade of experience in nonprofit development, Caitlin has built a career centered around strategic storytelling, donor engagement, grant management, and mission-driven relationship building. Prior to joining VCHF, she served as Manager of Annual Fund and Grants at SupportWorks Housing, where she helped raise more than $1 million annually as part of the organization’s mission advancement team. Throughout her career, she has worked with organizations focused on housing stability, mental health, healthcare, education, and community wellbeing, including the Arthritis Foundation, Maymont Foundation, NAMI Virginia, At Home Care Hospice, and Communities In Schools of Richmond.
Caitlin earned her Master of Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and her Bachelor of Arts in Government and History from the University of Virginia.
Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys spending time with her husband, their two boys, and their Shih Tzu, Matilda. Inspired by the humor, complexity, and love that can exist within blended families, she is also the creator of Formerly Known As Cards, a greeting card brand designed for modern family dynamics and relationships.
