Community Health Center Staff Receive the COVID-19 Vaccine

Virginia Community Health Center staff, who have been fighting the COVID-19 pandemic on the frontlines since March, are now receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. This vaccine will help protect our health center staff while they continue to provide care to their communities. Both the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines have both proven effective during their clinical trials. Learn more about how the COVID-19 vaccines are assessed for their effectiveness on the CDC website.

Currently in Virginia, COVID-19 Vaccine Response is in Phase 1B. This means healthcare personnel, residents of long-term care facilities, frontline essential workers, people age 75+, people living in correctional facilities, homeless shelters, and migrant labor camps are receiving the vaccine. For more information on the Virginia COVID-19 vaccination response, visit the Virginia Department of Health website.
