PATHS Celebrates Two new Danville Locations with Virtual Ribbon Cuttings

City and River District Association officials recently celebrated with PATHS at their first ever live, virtual ribbon cuttings on River City TV! Piedmont Access to Health Services, Inc. (PATHS) has opened two new Danville locations, a Community Dental Center located at 501 Rison Street, Suite 110 and Community Pharmacy located at 133 S. Ridge Street.

PATHS CEO, Marsha Mendenhall, expressed her gratitude that, “Our new Community Pharmacy which includes offices for our Community Health Workers, MedAssist, Area Health Education Center, and Outreach would never have been possible without the generous donation from The Free Clinic of Danville. The Free Clinic of Danville gifted PATHS the building to continue providing quality health services to our local residents. PATHS hopes that we have met The Free Clinic of Danville’s expectations in continuing their mission.”

PATHS Pharmacy Director, Tony Pratt, also commented, “The community has been very supportive of the PATHS pharmacy over the past years and that has enabled us to expand our pharmacy services and grow into this new building. We are excited to have a full-service pharmacy including a drive-thru to better serve our patients. Our hope is to continue that trend, and begin to expand into more educational and clinical roles in the near future. Though it has been difficult to weather the storm of COVID-19, we will continue to strive to offer excellent customer service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. While many may come to PATHS for savings, we hope that they will stay with us because they see that we care about our patients.”

“The Community Dental Center came about from a great collaborative relationship, with Dr. Manry and Dr. Wentz. We are so thankful for them,” Marsha added.

PATHS Dental Director, Dr. Rachel Gatewood also remarked that, “Our dental clinic has expanded and moved to a larger clinic to better serve our existing patients and in hopes to be able to better serve our community. We are very excited about these changes and have added wonderful new members to our team. This year has been tough for our community as a whole due to COVID-19. At PATHS dental, we hope to be a source of light and good in our community.”

More exciting PATHS news includes the opening of a new Chatham Community Medical Center. The new, larger location has opened and offers more services including Pediatrics, Dental, OB/GYN, Behavioral Health, and Pharmacy.
