The Right Fit: Helping Consumers Navigate the Plan Selection Process in Virginia
This training will strengthen enrollment assisters’ understanding of private insurance and provide best practices for supporting consumers in the plan selection process. The presentation includes an in-depth overview of the elements of Qualified Health Plans (QHPs), advice on talking to consumers about complicated insurance terms, and an overview of the latest trends in QHPs offered in the Marketplace. It will also highlight innovative strategies to help consumers identify their priorities, evaluate coverage options, and find the plan that best meets their needs. The session concludes with a live demonstration of the online plan comparison process using several sample consumer scenarios and actual Marketplace plans from across your state.
