The Farmworker Health Network (FHN) has set out to better understand how community health centers (CHCs) are addressing the social determinants of health (SDOH) affecting agricultural workers. Focus groups were conducted in 2018 at the three regional Migrant Stream Forums and the Conference for Agricultural Worker Health. From this data, the FHN identified the three most commonly referenced SDOH affecting this population and used these to structure the FHN Webinar Series: Transportation, Housing, and Food Security.
This will take the form of three, one-hour webinars providing an overview of the topic, barriers faced in addressing this SDOH, and strategies used to overcome them. There will also be presentations from actual CHC staff on the strategies they use to address these SDOH.
