Fifteen teams competed to raise money for VCHA’s Community Health Scholarship Program.

GLEN ALLEN, Virginia: Fifteen teams competed in VCHA’s Second Annual Charity Golf Outing on a beautiful day at The Dominion Club, raising money for VCHA’s Community Health Scholarship Program.

The day began with a putting contest before the 1pm shotgun start. Throughout play, individuals also competed to be closest to the pin and for longest drives. And at hole 12, players could take advantage of the services of Long Drive Pro Jeff Crittenden for their first shot.

The Annual Charity Golf Outing raises money for VCHA’s Community Health Scholarship Program.

The scholarship prorgram was created in 2023 and awarded its first three scholarships in fall 2024.

Community Health Centers throughout Virginia are not producing enough medical professionals to meet present and future demands. The Community Health Scholarship provides early-career readiness support to help prepare future medical, dental and behavioral health professionals for rewarding careers in the public health and community healthcare professions. Eligible applicants are graduate-level students who are pursuing an MD/DO/DDS degree, NP, PA, or Ph.D./Master’s in public health, psychology, and social work at a Virginia college or university.
