This amendment provides an additional $4.5 million in the second year from the general fund to the Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VCHA). VCHA plans to use the additional funding to enable FQHCs to continue providing comprehensive medical, dental, maternal, and mental health services to the most vulnerable uninsured and underinsured Virginians. This increase will stabilize the provision of pharmacy services and pharmaceuticals to over 400,000 patients, of which 57% have household incomes equal to or below the federal poverty limit.
