Tracy Douglas Joins Virginia Community Healthcare Association as Chief Executive Officer

Henrico, Virginia:

The Board of Directors of Virginia Community Healthcare Association is very pleased to announce that after a nationwide search, Tracy Douglas-Wheeler has accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Said Board President, Barbara Willis, “We are very excited to have Tracy Douglas as the new CEO for our Association. Her Experience working with prior Primary Care Associations, Community Health Centers, as well as with our federal funders, made her the ideal choice to carry our Association members to the next level in this very competitive healthcare marketplace.”

Ms. Douglas was previously Vice President, Community Health at Meridian Health Services Corp based in Muncie, Indiana. Her well-rounded experience includes creating strategic leadership initiatives, building collaborative relationships, and guiding operations support teams at federally qualified community health centers, primary care associations, and other health-related organizations.

“Working at the Virginia Community Healthcare Association will selfishly allow me to engage my passion by representing and retelling the stories of the work high-quality Virginia Health Centers do and provide every single day for the many communities they serve,” said Ms. Douglas.

Virginia Community Healthcare Association, based in Henrico County, Virginia, and founded in 1980, advocates for accessible health care through Community Health Centers, Community Health Center Look-Alikes, and Rural Health Centers. As the primary care association in Virginia, VCHA provides training and technical assistance, cooperative purchasing, and recruitment services. Currently, VCHA has 30 member Health Center Organizations which operate over 150 sites throughout the commonwealth of Virginia.
