VCHA Earns Great Place To Work Certification™ for Third Consecutive Year

HENRICO, VA (January 27, 2026) – Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VCHA) is proud to announce it has been Certified™ by Great Place To Work® for the third consecutive year. The certification reflects VCHA’s commitment to fostering a collaborative, flexible, and mission-driven workplace where employees feel valued and connected to the impact of their work. This year, 87% of employees said VCHA is a great place to work – 30 points higher than the national average.

Great Place To Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.

“Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the employee experience,” said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. “Because this recognition is based entirely on employee feedback, it’s clear that VCHA stands out as an exceptional workplace.”

“This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes directly from our team,” said Tracy Douglas, VCHA CEO. “Our people are our greatest strength, and I’m proud of the culture we’ve built – one that supports our staff while advancing community health across Virginia.”

At VCHA, day-to-day practices are shaped by a commitment to transparency, learning and flexibility. These values foster collaboration and creativity, enabling staff to effectively support Virginia’s community health centers and strengthen access to care across the Commonwealth.

According to Great Place To Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits and have a fair chance at promotion.
