HENRICO, VA (May 3, 2024) – The Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VCHA) has issued a request for proposal to partner with an organization that can provide leadership coaching to participants of VCHA’s Community Health Center University (CHCU) Leadership Program to aid in our mission for the Commonwealth of Virginia to have the healthiest population in America.
VCHA’s CHCU Leadership Program targets emerging leaders from Community Health Centers (CHCs), Free Health Clinics, and other Safety-Net providers in Virginia. Throughout the 12-month program, participants gain experience through participation in a curriculum that includes both in-person and remote seminars and practical activities. The program offers learning experiences, resources, and support to develop and strengthen leadership skills for emerging leaders. CHCU addresses the demands for developing leaders in healthcare organizations to help support the growth of their organization’s operations, succession planning and leadership development.
PROJECT DELIVERABLES:
- Work in collaboration with VCHA’s Program Director to provide contracted services.
- Work in collaboration with the University of Richmond’s Program Director to attend program events, contact participants, and obtain participant feedback.
- Attend Program orientation in-person.
- Provide initial meetings with each Program participant.
- Provide recommended assessments for Program participants to establish recommended baseline – will provide assessments based on expertise and experience with assessment tools.
- Provide ongoing one-to-one coaching with each program participant.
- Provide quarterly progress reports during the term of the contract.
- Provide final report of coaching accomplishments.

(As a recipient of Federal funds under Section 330 of the Public Health Services Act, VCHA and Virginia’s FQHCs are required to adhere to all applicable federal procurement rules and regulations and other program expectations of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Cooperative Agreements and FQHCs programs.)
