Health Literacy & Your Health Center
A Continuing Education Program Presented by VCHA
This free, six-module CE course, teaches tools and techniques to promote health literacy compliance and patient understanding in your practice. The content was derived and modified from the Network of the National Library of Medicine’s (NNLM) Clinical Conversations Training Program on Health Literacy by the Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VCHA) under a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant.
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by VCHA and the University of Virginia School of Medicine and School of Nursing, jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Program Format
Modules are approximately 30-60 minutes and may be completed online all at once, or at your own pace.
