COVID-19 Resources

Virginia’s Community Health Centers are trusted institutions in our communities and play an important role in the fight against COVID-19 by encouraging patients to take appropriate prevention and preparedness actions.

This is an ongoing situation and information is changing rapidly. The Coronavirus emergency is a reminder of the essential role Community Health Centers perform in ensuring the health and strength of our communities.

Virginia Community Healthcare Association offers this page as a resource to guide the staff at Community Health Centers to accurate sources of information. We are continually updating resources as they become available.

    • Hedge Against Uncertainty– Providers are now amidst a crisis unlike any before and with that comes concern, uncertainty, and unpredictability. Keeping financial stability is of utmost importance because as there’s no way to predict the day to day, standard expenses continue such as payroll, equipment acquisition costs, and utilities. Additionally, with an uncertain climate comes worry, such as the potential challenges of payor system glitches, delays in reimbursement, and cash flow disruptions. Many providers use First American to establish certainty by utilizing fixed rate financing or rate lock options. With interest rates near historic lows, it is a good time to secure today’s rates for your future borrowing needs. By doing so, you can have the peace of mind needed to manage interest rate risk, while being confident you can acquire the equipment and technology you need for your patients.
      • Fixed-Rate Financing- Unlike a loan or line of credit from your bank, leasing provides fixed-rate financing, ensuring your rate does not fluctuate throughout the course of the project. This makes budgeting simpler and more consistent.
      • Benefits include:
        • Secure the most competitive financing rates now, avoiding rising interest rate costs in the future.
        • Combine multiple assets under 1 predictable payment; medical equipment, technology, software and soft costs.
        • More predictable cashflow management with fixed payments.
      • Rate Lock Option
          • Secure a low rate for projects funding as far as 12 months from now.
          • Avoid the risk of the increased rates for long-term projects.
